SERTOMA 4th of July Celebration
The 4th of July Fireworks and Celebration was another huge success for SERTOMA and the Georgetown Community.

Red Poppy Bike Ride
SERTOMA's bike ride for scholarships had over 400 riders for its first year and gave out $10,000 dollars in scholarships to the kids in Georgetown.

Speech & Hearing
SERTOMA's primary service project is assisting people with speech, hearing and language disorders.

SERTOMA Club of Georgetown, a 501c(3) organization, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our national heritage. SERTOMA holds the Annual Fourth of July Family Picnic in San Gabriel Park for the past 24 years. We erect American flags around the Square and in front of Georgetown businesses every national holiday. Sertoma means Service to Mankind. Our club is dedicated to helping people in our community.

Sertoma's primary service project is assisting the people of Williamson county with speech, hearing and language disorders. Sertoma also sponsors
community projects to promote freedom and democracy, to assist youth and to benefit a variety of other local community needs.

2010-11 Taking the Club to the Next Level

2009 is dedicated to taking the club to the next level while at the same time having a great time. We have an outstanding executive team in place to do just that.

Our goals this year are:

  • Increased Membership and Involvement
  • Increase number of Scholarships and Support of local charities.
  • Even More Successful 4th of July & Bike Ride
  • Increased Community Visibility
  • Have Fun

 

Force Behind the 4th Honored

Roy Holiday being honored for his contribution to the Georgetown SERTOMA Club

 


For the past 27 years the club has organized the annual " Family 4th of July in San Gabriel Park." Over 6000 people attended this years celebration and over 50,000 people watched the fireworks. The club began holding the event at the urging of Roy Holliday. The club recently honored Roy for his work organizing the event which has become the largest one day event in Georgetown. President Paul Hooper presented Roy with a plaque honoring his work.
