SERTOMA 4th of July Celebration
The 4th of July Fireworks and Celebration was another huge success for SERTOMA and the Georgetown Community.

Red Poppy Bike Ride
SERTOMA's bike ride for scholarships had over 400 riders for its first year and gave out $10,000 dollars in scholarships to the kids in Georgetown.

Speech & Hearing
SERTOMA's primary service project is assisting people with speech, hearing and language disorders.

SERTOMA Club of Georgetown, a 501c(3) organization, is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our national heritage. SERTOMA holds the Annual Fourth of July Family Picnic in San Gabriel Park for the past 30 years. We erect American flags around the Square and in front of Georgetown businesses every national holiday. Sertoma means Service to Mankind. Our club is dedicated to helping people in our community.

Sertoma's primary service project is assisting the people of Williamson county with speech, hearing and language disorders. Sertoma also sponsors
community projects to promote freedom and democracy, to assist youth and to benefit a variety of other local community needs.

I wish to thank the club members for allowing me a second term as president. The club had an extremely
successful year with many accomplishments and I am looking forward to the upcoming year. I also wish to thank all of the officers for serving a second year also. Attached are my goals for the upcoming year

Service to Mankind Winner

The Sertoma Club of Georgetown has named Georgetown resident Norm Peters as the 2010 recipient



 


The Sertoma Club of Georgetown has named Georgetown resident Norm Peters as the 2010 recipient of the club’s Service to Mankind Award for his longtime exemplary community service in both the local and international communities.            

Peters has provided civic leadership in Georgetown as a founder of The Caring Place, a local service organization addressing the needs of lower income families. He served as president of The Caring Place and as a board member for many years and continues to be involved in Caring Place activities.
